Germs up close è un simpatico libricino di poche decine di pagine, che si propone di renderci più familiari batteri, protozoi, funghi e virus, quelli che, comunemente, sono chiamati germi.
Il volume è molto colorato, e le foto sono bellissime.
Ad ogni germe è dedicata una pagina che ne contiene l'immagine ed una breve ma esauriente descrizione. In particolare, ne viene indicata la pronuncia del nome, l'apparenza microscopica, l'habitat, le malattie di cui è causa ed altre eventuali informazioni utili.
Non si tratta certo di un volume professionale, ma soddisfacente per una lettura veloce, ed adatto ad ogni età.
